Welcome to
Tilt-Yard Theatre Company.

We provide a showcase for exciting new writing for theatre and present incisive productions of older work that has something important to say to present day audiences.

We also offer an education programme for schools, colleges and others with an interest in philosophy.

Current Productions

We are taking bookings for our two current touring productions:

  • Hamlet: Tragedy of a Fat Man, by Paddy Gormley, and
  • The Fall, by Albert Camus, in an adaptation by Amanda Pask (by permission of Editions Gallimard).

These productions were premiered at the Etcetera Theatre in London in 2002 and have subsequently toured as far afield as Devon and Dumfries.

The double bill is featured in a series of showreels on this site. Click once on any showreel to download. If you have a slow connection, you may have to wait a few seconds for the download to begin.

The shows are available as a double bill or separately. We can perform anywhere, from theatre, school hall or living room to open air (though we do need a power-point !)

Education Programme

We offer a full educational programme in addition to our performances in schools.

For example we conduct drama, movement and writing workshops and take part in discussions about the issues raised by our productions.

Visit our education page for further details.

Philosophy for All

Our production of Camus' The Fall was warmly received by members of Philosophy for All in Summer 2002. We welcome opportunities for further performance and discussion sessions with philosophical interest groups.

Visit our Club Existentialiste page for further details.
